The GCB Hajj Account is a savings product designed specifically to help Muslims save consistently for their pilgrimage to Mecca. It offers several benefits to make the trip possible and stress-free, including insurance cover and facilitation of payments to travel agencies. Account holders are encouraged to make regular deposits to build up funds for their Hajj pilgrimage.

- The account is opened with an initial deposit of GH¢50and must maintain a minimum balance of GH¢50
- Option to invest in fixed deposits upon maturity

- Withdrawals are limited to once per quarter.
- No loans are available on this account.
- No interest is paid on the account balance.

HOW TO APPLY
For New Account Holders, submit a;
- Completed Account Opening Form
- Valid ECOWAS Identity Card (Ghana Card)
- One passport-sized photograph
- Proof of residential address (utility bill not older than 3 months, employer’s reference, income tax certificate, tenancy agreement, or third-party confirmation)
For Existing GCB Account Holders;
- Complete the Account Migration Form
- Update your customer information if necessary
- Read and accept the Hajj Account terms and conditions
- Your new Hajj Account will likely keep your existing account number.
GCB BANK IS THE OFFICIAL COLLECTING BANK FOR THE PILGRIMS AFFAIRS OFFICE OF GHANA (PAOG)
The Ghana Hajj Board maintains an account with GCB for the purpose of collecting payments from registered Hajj Agents and individual pilgrims.
All individual pilgrims and registered Hajj Agents can conveniently make their Hajj payments at any GCB Bank branch nationwide.
Simply:
- Visit your nearest GCB Bank branch.
- Present the unique Agent Code.
Complete the E-Pay Deposit Slip with your National ID.- Make your payment
Note: This process is strictly for payments directly to the Hajj Board Account, not for opening or saving into the GCB Hajj Account.
