GCB Bank PLC has donated food items and cash to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu as part of this year’s Eid Ul Fitr celebrations.
The items donated were 30 bags of rice, 20 gallons of oil and cash amount of GH¢20,000.00.
Making the donation, Managing Director of GCB Bank PLC, Mr Kofi Adomakoh expressed appreciation to Chief Imam for the pivotal role he plays in ensuring peace in Ghana and beyond.
“You are a pillar of peace and all Ghanaians, irrespective of religious affiliation look up to you”. He stated.
According to Mr. Adomakoh, the donation was an opportunity to also avail himself to the wise counsel and blessings of the Chief Imam. It was also to familiarize himself with the Muslim community which hosts a chunk of the Bank’s branch network.
The Chief Imam expressed gratitude for the gesture and asked for Allah’s blessings for the Bank. He also commended the Bank for playing an integral role in national development and encouraged the Bank to keep on seeking the interest of Ghanaians.
The high-powered GCB delegation led by the MD included the Deputy Managing Director in charge of Operations, Mr. Odartey Lamptey; Chief Digital and Marketing Officer, Mr. Eric Coffie; Head of Support Services, Mr. Emmanuel Ofori-Dankwah; Head, Legal Services, Ms Jessie Jacintho; Head of Customer Service, Mr Muniru Muktar; Tema Area Manager, Alhaji Mahmoud Gomda and other top officials of the Bank.
