The 2020 edition of Ghana’s Fastest Human project has been launched with GCB Bank Ltd as a major sponsor.


The Secretary to the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo, who was the special guest of honour, performed the launch ceremony, commended GCB and GNPC for consistently supporting the project.
The Managing Director of GCB, Mr. Anselm Ray Sowah, expressed the excitement that GCB is once again associating itself with the project to revive athletics at the grassroots and at the national levels.


The MD reiterated the Bank’s commitment to the development of sports in the country and the importance of developing track athletes in the country to bring back the good old days when Ghana used to churn out champions in the field.
Nene Nagai Kasa VIII, Paramount Chief of Agomeda who serves as the life patron of the project, chaired the programme.


Mr. Reks Brobby, once an athlete himself and the founder of Ghana’s Fastest Human project, was very thankful for the show of support and the willingness of the various stakeholders to see the project bring about positive change in the fortunes of the country when it comes to athletics.


Ghana’s Fastest Human (GFH), is a project being used to revive Ghana Athletics and provide Corporate support for the development of this sports at the grassroots. It is an athletics, media and marketing event based on the Private Public Partnership (PPP) module and is designed to involve all potential Sprinters in Ghana from 2013 to the year 2020 and covering two Olympic Games, Brazil 2016 and Tokyo 2020.
