Over the weekend, GCB Bank sponsored the 3rd Edition of the Ascent Obstacle Course event held at the Ghana Military Academy & Training Schools (MATS).
The Ascent Obstacle Course, was organized for participants to challenge their physical and mental health as well as to test the capabilities and endurance level.
Ascenders including Ghanaians and expatriates were challenged with a grueling 5-kilometer long obstacle course race with over 20 obstacles by climbing, crawling, running and balancing.
The event which is first of its kind in Africa, tested the speed, endurance, strength and dexterity of the Ascenders.
Throughout the race, the “Ascenders” were inspired and coached by Military personnel and trained health and fitness professionals impacting values such as teamwork, determination and to stay focused on a task.
