Ghana Commercial Bank Limited has, once again, supported the organization of the Farmers' Day.
The Bank contributed GH¢5,000.00 towards the celebration of the day which fell on November 7.
The Minister of Food and Agriculture, Mr Ernest A. Debrah, who received the cheque from Mr Emmanuel Kojo Kwarteng of the Public Relations Department of GCB expressed the government's appreciation to the Bank for continually supporting the awards scheme.
He said GCB has always contributed to the successful celebration of the Farmers' Day and appealed to other corporate institutions to emulate the gesture.
Mr Kwarteng said GCB has been oiling the economy of Ghana for 55 years and therefore sees its contribution to the scheme and the agricultural sector in general as a national duty.
He said GCB as a Ghanaian Bank would continue to support worthy initiatives like the National Farmers' Day celebration.
