GCB Bank has been adjudged the Best Bank in Ghana in remittances at the “RIA Money Transfer Dinner and Awards” which took place over the weekend.
GCB also bagged two other corporate awards namely Most Accessible Bank Partner and Bank Partner of the Year. Three staff of the Bank collected the Best Performing Teller, Best Ria Ambassador and Exceptional Performance in Technology Awards.
This event was organized by RIA in appreciation of its partners over the past nine years of its operations in Ghana and to celebrate 30 years of its existence. RIA is the 3rd largest international money transfer organization with agents located in over 323,000 locations in 146 countries worldwide.
RIA has deepened its reach in Ghana through GCB’s over 200 branches nationwide.
The staff who received awards are Ms. Linda Adjoa Nsafoah of GCB Sunyani Main branch for Best Performing Teller, while the Best Ria Ambassador Award went to Ms. Adwoa Manko Buadu, GCB Spintex (near Papaye) and Exceptional Performance in Technology Integration to Nii Armah Annan of the Systems &Information Technology Department.
Managing Director of GCB, Mr. Anselm Ray Sowah lauded his International Trade and Payments team led by Mr. Kofi Boateng Gyasi for their remarkable work and duty to the Bank.
He urged the team to focus diligently on the potential of global remittances on the Bank’s business.
“It’s a good thing to have won this award, but it will be in all of our interests for us to do even more by taking into perspective, the need to be diligent and focused in achieving more through international trade and payment services to our customers, home and abroad.”
