GCB Bank Limited has opened its 159th branch at Adjiringanor in the East Legon area of the Greater Accra Region.
This comes within a week of commissioning its Amasaman branch in the Ga West Municipality.

Speaking at the opening ceremony today (Wednesday 18th May 2016), the Acting Managing Director of GCB Bank Limited, Mr Samuel Sarpong said the commissioning of new branches and expansion of the Bank’s network is part of the rebranding programme to make GCB a world-class Bank.
It is also aimed at reaching the doorstep of communities with modern banking services.
Mr. Sarpong said apart from injecting modernity into GCB’s ambiance and operations, service delivery is being enhanced for the convenience of customers and the public.

“As the economy expands with its attendant opportunities, GCB will correspondingly widen its reach with modern architecture and banking services,” he said.
Mr. Sarpong described the Adjiringanor area as a strategic residential community with budding economic activity with fuel stations, educational institutions, hospitality and medical facilities, SMEs, head offices of mining companies, oil firms and multinational companies among others. Such a community deserves the services of a Bank with the expertise, experience and wherewithal to manage such diverse business concerns.
GCB, with its automated procedures and processes, complemented with the electronic products and services required by these international firms, is well-positioned to cross-sell its broad range of products and services to them.
He urged salaried workers to take advantage of the GCB 24-Hour Personal Loan and small businesses to avail themselves of the Bank’s SME Loans, while big businesses take advantage of the Bank’s Corporate Banking and Investment products and services to expand their business.
The Head of Consumer Banking Department of the Bank, Mrs Doris Wunu, described the opening of new branches across the country as the new dawn of banking in Ghana.
