Miss Owusua Mayfair, a customer of the Tantra Hill branch of GCB Bank Limited has emerged as the overall winner of the GCB Big Money Promo with a prize of GH¢300,000.
Owusua like Mr Joshua Seteklu of our Burma Camp branch who won GH¢100,000 in September this year will be presented with her cheque at a ceremony together with other winners of the Bank’s 6th and final Draw of the Big Money Promo.
The other winners are Mr Acheampong Bernard of Dormaa Ahinkro branch, a Samsung Note 1 Tablet, Manu Bob Brown of Bechem GCB, a Samsung S6 Edge, Sampson Abrokwa of Derby Avenue (now part of the Liberty House Branch), a 1KVA generator, Gidisu Wisdom of Hohoe GCB, a 1KVA generator, Angbonzan Senty of Elubo branch, a 5KVA generator w and Appiah Gladys of Kade GCB branch, a 5KVA generator.
Since the launch of the GCB Big Money Promo in April this year about 33 customers of the Bank have won various prizes across the country. This has helped to transform the lives of the customers.
Speaking at the final draw, Mrs Doris Wunu, Head of Consumer Banking Department of GCB announced that the Bank has rolled out a new Point of Sale product dubbed TruPay.
She explained that the TruPay is an interesting product that will improve the way small businesses collect payments.
“Our SME loan product is also up offering more and more SME’s crucial financial support when they need it most” hinted Mrs. Doris Wunu.
She announced a Christmas package for salaried workers beginning from 1st December, 2015 which will enable them to pay off their existing loans for new ones with the Bank waiving processing fees.
Mrs Wunu explained that the Bank would allow all customers of the Bank to shop for items from selected partners of up to 25 per cent discount of which GCB will pay for and the customers pay back later in instalments.
The Big Money Promo enabled current account holders and prospective customers to top–up or open an account with GH¢500.00 or multiples of that amount which should be operated for six months to qualify and benefit from the promotion.
Apart from the GH¢300,000.00 which was the ultimate prize customers had opportunity and won cash prizes of GH¢100,000.00, GH¢3,000.00, GH¢2,000.00 as well as Smart phones, Tablets and Generator sets in all previous draws over the promotion period.
To ensure transparency and fairness, the National Lotteries Authority Caritas platform was used in all draws.
The winners present at the final draw entreated the public to be a part of the new GCB brand.
