Yet another bout of joy, glee and fulfillment in the hearts and minds of GCB’s winning customers characterized the fifth draw of the GCB Big Money Promotion. Hosted in the foyer of the Head Office of the Bank, the event saw another set of five winners emerging.
Mr. Malik Daabu, Online Editor of Multimedia Group who hails from Wa in the Upper West Region, surprisingly picked Mr. Malek George Ghanem of the Wa branch of the Bank as the winner of the 5kva generator.
Mr. Daabu who was on a visit to the Bank chanced on the draw and was randomly selected to pick a winner in the draw ran by the National Lotteries Authority.
Mr. Maxwell Arhin of GCB Takoradi Main branch won a Sumsung Galaxy S6 while Mr. Seth Opoku of Accra New Town won a 1Kva generator.
Mayqueen Dogbe of Prestea branch and Christopher Atta Yaw of Tema Market branch of the Bank won GH¢2,000.00 and GH¢3,000.00 respectively.
Earlier, winners of the fourth draw of the GCB Big Money Promo held in September were presented with their prizes.
Nana Akwasi Appiah, Tarkwa Branch and Solomon Kofi Mensah, Axim branch picked cheques for GH¢3,000.00 and GH¢2,000.00 respectively.
Mr. Patrick Obadiah Edzi of Ahinsan branch of the Bank received A. Sumsung Galaxy S6 while Mr. William Kusi Boateng of Hwidiem won a 5Kva generator.
Mr. Mensah expressed his appreciation to the Management of the Bank for the initiative saying the promotion is a genuine one to reward the Bank’s customers.
“I thought it was the usual tricks of now-a-day after I received a telephone call from GCB. And it was even like a dream, but I am awake “Solomon Kofi Mensah winner of the GH¢2,000.00 said.
Patrick Obadiah Edzi of Ahinsan Kumasi branch, had this to say, “I wasn’t even aware of the promo, but since I regularly save with the Bank, I qualified. Thank you GCB Bank, thank you God”
Mrs Doris Wunu, Head of Consumer Banking of the Bank congratulated the winners for their success and encouraged others to join the family to save towards their future needs.
She said: “We are making strides in improving the deposit of your bank at GCB in the face of what we all acknowledge to be a challenging economic situation.”
Mrs Wunu noted that the GCB Bank is re-positioning itself as a modern, progressive and customer-centered bank, where banking would be easier, efficient, effective and save for customers.
She called on new and existing customers to make deposits with the bank so as to benefit from the range of prizes in the “Big Money Promo”, expected to be climaxed in October.
The Head of Consumer Banking explained that the promotion was to inspire Ghanaians to cultivate a savings culture and that in addition to wining prizes, customers earned interest on their deposits.
She also indicated that new customers could qualify for the promo by opening a new account with GH¢500.00 or its multiples, in order to benefit from the range of prizes, which included GH¢100,000.00, GH¢200,000.00 and GH¢300,000.00 for the ultimate winner.
Awards were also presented to winners of the fourth edition of the “Big Money Promo” at the ceremony.
Mr. Robert Akati Adamu, Acting Chief Operating Officer, and the Head of Consumer Banking Department of the Bank, Mrs Doris Wunu presented prizes to the 4th Draw winners.
The six-month promotion was launched in April and ends later in this month of October. Customers who pay into or top-up their account with GH¢500.00 stand the chance of winning various prizes and the ultimate prize of GH¢300,000.
