The final draw of the "GCB 30 TO BRAZIL" Promotion took place on Tuesday June 3, 2014 with the selection of 13 more people to watch the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
This brings to 33 including three staff of the Bank the number of people who have won under the promotion launched by GCB Bank Limited on March 11, 2014.
The first and second draws were held in April and May to select twenty (20) customers of the Bank under the supervision of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) and witnessed by customers and representatives of the media some of who picked the draws.
Seventeen out of the first 20 customers were presented with their packages including return ticket, visa, transport, meals and others to travel to Brazil on June 14. Other winners of some consolation prizes were present to pick replica jerseys, footballs, and 46-inch LED televisions.
The documents of the rest of the winners of the promotion have been submitted to the Brazilian Embassy in Ghana pending the issue of visas.
The final draw was witnessed by the Brazilian Ambassador to Ghana, Madam Irene Vida Gala.
The Managing Director of GCB, Mr Simon Dornoo in an address said the Bank had been eager to reward its customers over the years and that the World Cup provided the opportunity for the Bank to sponsor customers to watch live matches in Brazil.
He congratulated the winners saying by their status, they are ambassadors of the country to project Ghana as an investment destination.
He announced that the Bank is undergoing a significant change to firmly position itself among the top performing banks in Ghana and the most respected in Africa.
Mr Dornoo said the second phase of the Bank's transformation will radically improve customer service to enhance its capacity to continue to sponsor major events.
The winners of the final draw of the GCB 30 To Brazil promotion are Justice Atta Korang, High Street, Fred Odei, Mankessim, Redeemer Yao Krah, Ho Polytechnic, Juliana Asantewaa, New Tafo, Philip Turkson, Obuasi, Alex Tweneboah-Kodua, Mim, Eric Ansah Amoakah, Bogoso, Emmanuel Dovi-Gbedema, Hohoe, James Sakyi, Akuse, and Kwaku Bram-Larbie, Boundary Road Branches of GCB.
The three members of staff who won as part of the promotion are Gertrude Teye-Yeboah, Corporate Banking Division, Samuel Oppong Rich, Wale Wale branch and Mr Charles Crabbe, Project Management Office.
