The 2009 National Best Farmer, Mr Davies Narh Korboe, has described Ghana Commercial Bank Limited (GCB) as the best bank in terms of banking operations, business and money transfer.

He said many individuals and corporate bodies find it more comfortable transacting business with GCB.

Mr Korboe said this when he paid a working visit to the Managing Director of GCB, Mr Lawrence Adu-Mante, at the Head Office of the Bank.

The National Best Farmer, who is a customer of the Bank discussed a number of pertinent issues including consolidating his relationship with GCB.

Mr Korboe who also manages an FM station, Rite FM, in Somanya in the Eastern Region, said he has been using the GCB money transfer services for the payment of his staff and these have been fruitful and beneficial.

He mentioned out GCB's Kudi Nkosuo, a product that encourages savings for petty traders, artisans and small scale businesses, describing it as beneficial.

The Managing Director, Mr Lawrence Adu-Mante on his part, said GCB was set up to assist indigineous traders and businesses and in fulfilment GCB has helped in nurturing numerous Ghanaian enterprises and entrepreneurs and gave the assurance that the Bank would continue to support Ghanaian businesses.

Mr Adu-Mante advised the Best Farmer to venture into the processing of farm produce as a means of adding value to his products.

He commended Mr Korboe for emerging as the National Best Farmer and urged him to inspire the youth into agri-business.
