GCB Bank PLC (GCB) has held the first of five major draws under its ‘Pa To Pa’ savings promotion. The campaign, designed to reward loyal customers and encourage a stronger savings culture. The event occurred on Friday 16th January 2026 at the Airport View hotel in Accra.
This inaugural draw heralds the commencement of an exciting journey. An all-expenses-paid trip to witness the 2026 World Cup in Mexico, Canada, and the US is up for grabs.
Sina Kamagate, the Executive Head of Retail Banking, said in an interview that the promotion is a way of appreciating customers who have contributed to the Bank’s success over the past 72 years. “We have operated for 72 years and will be celebrating our 73rd anniversary this year. Deposits are the lifeblood of banking, and our valued customers have sustained us over the years with their trust and loyalty. Football is one of the strongest unifying passions in Ghana and this is our way of saying thank you - a chance to enjoy the upcoming global football festival,” he said.
Explaining the mechanics of the promotion, Richard Wobil, Liability Products Manager, noted that May 2026 will mark the closing period of the draw, allowing sufficient time for travel arrangements for the ultimate winners.
The ‘Pa To Pa’ promo is open to both existing and prospective GCB Savings and Current Account holders. Dormant account holders also enjoy a special incentive, earning automatic points upon reactivating their accounts at any GCB branch. Every deposit of GH₵300 earns one point, and customers accumulate points monthly by maintaining the minimum balance through to the fifth month. Participants with the highest points each month qualify for exclusive rewards. In the final month, the top four participants with the highest points will secure an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2026 World Cup. The promotion is subject to terms and conditions, which are available on the GCB Bank website.
This promo is regulated by the National Lottery Authority (NLA) on the Caritas Lottery platform in partnership with the Bank’s Internal Audit team. A representative of the NLA, Nancy Brew, affirmed that the Authority mandates and monitors all consumer promotions by law and confirmed that the winners and rewards under the ‘Pa To Pa’ promo reflect performance. This was further validated by Chief Internal Auditor, Wilhelmina Asiamah, who confirmed that the Internal Audit Department reviewed the entire depositor dataset to ensure that the selected winners met the established criteria.
Highlighting the Bank’s broader commitment to convenience and innovation, Head of Digital and Youth Banking, Emelia Sackey, underscored the continuous evolution of the GCB customer experience.
“Customers can now open accounts digitally and request Visa or Mastercards without visiting a physical branch. The Bank has several competitive financial offerings, including our current flagship Salary Advance product which gives salaried workers up to 80 percent of their salary and a reduced interest rate. The Link To Home account also designed for Ghanaians living abroad to save securely in their home country reflects the Bank’s unwavering commitment financial inclusion,” she remarked. She further commented on how the Bank’s innovative digital platforms and solutions have reduced the need for long queues at the branches. “The Bank’s services are structured to serve every facet of the customer’s lifecycle and all types of businesses operating in diverse sectors of the economy irrespective of size,” she added.
