Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III is the Omanhemaa of the Denkyira Traditional Area in the Central Region of Ghana. Nana Omanhemaa was born on the 30th October, 1970 at Jukwa and was named Doris Theresa Nanah.
Nana Omanhemaa had her basic education in Jukwa in the Herman/Lower Denkyira from 1974 to 1984. Between 1984 and 1989 she attended Aggrey Memorial Secondary School in Cape Coast where she obtained her GEC "O" Level. She continued her education at the Takoradi Polytechnic (currently Takoradi Technical University) between 1989 and 1991 where she majored in Business Studies. Again, between 1996 and 1999 Nana Ama Ayensuaa Saara III went to the University of Cape Coast and successfully completed a degree in Bachelor of Commerce.
In 1993, she succeeded her grandmother, Nana Adwoa Saara II as the queen mother of Denkyira joining her uncle, Odeefuo Baa Amponsem III, the Denkyirahene to govern the traditional area.
Currently, Nana is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nasaa Group of Companies that engage in Fishing and Agricultural activities.
On the Chieftaincy and cultural fronts, Nana has served on several Boards and Committees. Nana once worked as Research Officer at the Central Regional House of Chiefs at Cape Coast. In addition, she has attended several workshops, seminars and conferences on Chieftaincy and Culture and has presented papers at some of them.
Nana is married with three children.
